Things That Fly

Sometimes things that fly are cute and sometimes they are freaky. I was super excited to finally catch a little humming bird buzzing about some penstemon flowers this afternoon. Boy, she was fast! I was surprised I got her in focus. I also found a cool looking moth with some interesting bumps that I believe to be a Looper moth.

Red Postman and Friends

The Springs Preserve butterfly habitat is preparing to close for the season and will re-open in the spring. I took the opportunity to capture a few more shots of some red postman butterflies and a few more critters out in the gardens.

Wow! I like this 100mm lens

A friend of mine let me borrow his 100mm lens this morning. I usually use the 18-55mm lens that came with my Canon EOS Rebel T3 so this was quite a treat.
