Welcome to my world of sock monkeys, leopard geckos, and nature photography! Almost all of my adventures and photographs are taken in the Las Vegas area and show another side of Sin City and my home away from home, Springs Preserve. I hope to grow and learn more about the art of nature photography so that I may continue to explore greater depths of technical expertise and imagery. Thanks for stopping by!

Imperial on his sweet ride
Since I posted my Daughter's clay figures I felt I should also show off my Son, Gabriel., and his mad Lego making skills. I had the perfect fabric to use as my space background. A cool satin finish with sparkles!
Coffee Cake Hill
These are some characters made by my youngest Daughter, Clea. She is 10 years old and a very gifted artist who has the most creative and original ideas. Charcters from left to right: Kirre, Myconid, Policeman, Jalapeno, Clea, Steve (Jack's pet), Jack, and Galeb.
Since Clea watched the movie, "A town Called Panic", http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w3uG8LLuVPQ she has been inspired to work with clay more then ever.

Yum Yum Pancake!
Marcel obviously loves pancakes! Who doesn't?
I had a lot of fun making a chocolatechip cookie pillow so I thought I would try a pancake pillow too. These pillows are fun and easy to make and my kids love them. :)

Euen
Euen was made from a pair of sturdy, but plain moss green socks and looked a tad bit dull. I went to the fabric store and purchased a bit of pretty blue, plaid flannel and made him this nifty vest and cap. He looks quite dapper now!

Mikey Dread
This is a Rasta style sock monkey done on request for a lovely customer of mine. I call him Mikey Dread after a favorite reggae artist of mine. The real Mikey Dread sported an awesome beard, but my Mikey is clean shaven. Perhaps I should look into to making bearded sock monkeys...
